Light of the world
Wise people, spiritual leaders, talking about a light,
as being superior both light and darkness.
Usually we think of light and darkness as crucial
phenomenons for life.
But that is maybe not the case.
Life itself might not being depending of light and
darkness, but the existence of life forms are.
The light of life (consciousness) enables us to
perceive light and darkness.
Without this, no light or darkness is.
Consequently the light of the world is not the sun,
but "that" being conscious of the sun.
It is not the eyes that are aware of the sun, but the
consciousness which is applying the eyes. Nor is the brain, but the user of the
brain.
The individual consciousness is said to be a secondary
stage of the superior light. Then the superior light is both the absolute most
obvious, the most neglected and therefore appears to be the most mysterious, in
life.
